| Banana Moon Day Nursery was started in 2006 as a result of the difficulties encountered by one of our directors when trying to place his own children in what he considered to be a good quality day nursery.It soon became clear that the standards he required could not be met by any of the childcare businesses he visited, as a result of which the decision was taken to open his own nursery.Initially this was done by securing a franchise in an existing day nursery network, and within just a few months the new nursery was being recognised as one of the best in Warwickshire.
However, it soon became apparent that the nursery had outgrown the franchisor, and was in fact leading the development of the franchise in terms of business modelling, legislation and codes of practice, so a decision was made to remove the business from the franchise network and go it alone under the Banana Moon Day Nursery brand.During this time a second nursery had been opened to serve the increasing local demand, and this too was rebranded. To this day both of these original ‘pilot’ nurseries continue to lead the field in providing high-quality, affordable childcare, within a unique environment.
